Homebodies-March 8th, 2008 Blizzards in March do bad things to people. Buc and I have beed way too comfortable being couch potatoes. It really needs to sop snowing and soon. Here are the photos of the last uneventful few days. It's good to see that the snow isn't getting to everybody, all the youngters are sill packing tons of engergy, esspecially Dosch (see below) I need to borrow some energy from that kid. The theme of the update is inverts, with the occasional turndown.
Check back soon for info about a TRP contest in spring, if spring ever gets here. ~Hanan
Streetrise-March 21st, 2008 We perhaps prematurely took it to the streets this past weekend. It was cold as hell, and a lot of the stuff we normally ride was under a snowbank, but it still felt good to be pedaling in the great outdoors. I was just looking back at the archives from last March-we were riding Charlotte, I was getting over my broken wrist, and the sun was out. Not so this time around, spring blizzards till July.
Dillon has wired the transfer gap between the old quarter and the new one.
Brian broke his cranks and is taking donations.
I think this is Carmichael, judging from the extension.
Bobby and friend.
Chris John with the guns holstered.
Dave can stunt up or over anything.
Buc was anticipating a plain old backflip for this photo, but Will did one better.
Rhese's back! He's a little older and a little wiser but still up to his old tricks.
We let Tater Todd tag along for his first trip to Ann Arbor.
I never get tired of foot jams.
Steve is still adjusting to a new frame and brakes.
We can't go to Ann Arbor without getting something to eat. While everyone was in the restaurant ordering, I stayed behind and watched the bikes. While I was waiting, some lady walked by with her husband or boyfriend and said, "So where are all the 12 year olds, what's with all these little bikes." It made my night, even though it was freezing and we had to ride through leftover snow. Hanan-25 going on 12 Be There-March 27th, 2008 A fellow biker, Justin Willard from Lapeer, has fallen on some hard times lately. He was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) in 2005 and he's recently suffered some complications. In the bmx spirit, some of his pals have put together a jam for him at a new park in Columbiaville. Come out and show your support. Here is all the info, or check their site: ttxsports.com
We'll be there and tossing out some of our remaining shirts and stickers. It's $10 to ride and half of all the proceeds will go to Justin and his family. Buc was up north last week and apparently they haven't gotten the spring memo eaither.
Sorry I'm so late in getting up the info about the jam. My job is driving me crazy and I'm on the verge of quitting. Hanan
