april 2008 Detroit Irony-April 18th, 2008 Finally my semester is over, but I've spent the last few days writing a final paper. It kept me from joining buc, carmickle, rob, and govan for a Detroit street session. Guess what my paper was about!
It was on the Renaissance Center!!!!! Oh the irony. I miss all the good spots.
See the little wood tranny set up at the bottom on the bank?
Buc broke it.
Wagel and Carmickle got some love. It's always good to start out the bmx fans at a young age. Odyssey's new dvd, electronical, will premier at TRP on Friday, $5 to watch and ride from 11pm-2am. Check here for a sneak peek--now everyone into the full pipe! Then on Saturday, April 19th
Come out and celbrate boby's 21st with another laste session, starting at 11pm. I'm so glad its not snowing anymore. See you all there! -Hanan
I Quit!-April 11th, 2008 Last week I quit my job, which has left me a little frantic and caused me to neglect the site. However, as soon as my semester finished this Wednesday I should have plenty of free time to devote to lots of updates and a total overhaul. We have managed to get in some street riding in this belated spring between the usual TRP sessions. By the way, big TRP new (see end of post). Going back two whole weeks - We finally made it out to the new skatepark in Columbiaville for the Justin Jam. They've made some changes there recently and it is actually a really fun little park. We had some navigation problems getting there and only got to ride it for an hour or so.
We got there just in time for the raffle.
Kids were winning all kinds of good stuff. BUC heard his name called and thought he was getting a new sprocket or something, but he got something much better.
A year's supply of energy!
Cory is from Bay City and is bringing back sweat pants and barspins.
Malcom has retired the tailwhip until his foot is all healed.
Antonio is progressing at record speed. TRP fun time!
Who's that guy?
Happy belated 21st birthday to Bobby! First trip of the summer to Wolverine and my riding roots, my first bunny hop was at Wolverine!
Pinecones are weapons of mass destruction.
This resulted in several injuries.
We completed the adventure at the smallest, oddest skatepark with the squirreliest concrete mini ever. This rail bounced when you hopped on it.
Brian's dialed fufs. A few days later buc made it out to Wyandotte with...
Dylan
and Ricky. Apparently, the Wyandotte park's days are numbered. The city has decided to get rid of the park.
All the details are still being worked out, but mark your calendars. Major contest at TRP one month from now. It's been a while since a big contest so hopefully this will be it. We're even trying to get together a girls's class. Stay tuned for more info.
