Stewy Throughout my years of riding, I have encountered many great people. Just about all of my closest friends ride these little kid bikes. At 26, I'm still riding and meeting new friends everyday. But, for the friends that have been there all along, there is so much to say about you guys. Each month, Hanan and I would like to try to post a profile of one of the many awesome local riders. For this month, who better to start with than Stewy! I remember the first time I met Stewy. He was 10 or 11 and I was 17, I think. He was so small, but he had such a deep voice. It just didn't match his age or size. This kid had balls! We were at the Manilla jumps by Sooch's house and there was this big ass jump called "bt" (ball tester). Anyways, Stewy was trying to jump this thing on this shitty Mongoose bike with a shock on the back. He was swearing and cranking his ass off all the way to the lip. It was nuts. As you can see there are alot of tales about this lad, but too many fopr just one profile. Today, big Stu shreds TRP, and not too long ago, toured the states with Ron Thomas and Vinnie. The kid is like a super ball, all over the place with high speed lines, not just at the park, but in the streets and on the trails too. He's one of the most mellow riders one can meet and a hell of a friend. Thanks for all the years buddy-can't wait to see what new line you come up with next. You've got to wonder what it'll be with someone so innovative and creative. Now that you know what I think about the kid, we figured you would get the best idea about Stewy straight from the source. -BUC
Hello, my name is Brian Stewart and this is my profile. Well, eveyone likes to call me Stewy. I'm 21 years old and my height is short, lol. Currently livin in Westland, MI. Been riding for 8 years and still loving it. I remember riding Manilla for my frist time. That's were I seen Jason Suchan, Matt Newman (buc), Darryl Milligan, and Chris Hatfield. They were just killin the palce and that's when I knew this is what I wanna do. So after a year or two I was hittin jumps, then weeks later I knocked the wind out of myself, which was scary for the first fall like that. Movin on, I started riding the Jason Suchan backyard ramps. I didn't know how how to jump and ride in yet, but I wanted to jump the 6ft coping coping spine on like the third time on the ramp ever. So I ride in and sprocket case the quater and monster truck the spine with this full face on, haha! But then we got this place called transitions and there are alot of memories there. Now it's years later and I'm still here chillin with Team Green-my boys, seak Miskys, Matt Carmickle, Eric Vasquez, Matt Sparks and many more. Team young, well everyone kows how badass they are. Joe Gall keepin it real. And Flip at Albe's, the only place you need to go for the bmx merchandise. I'd like to thank my family first off, for being there for me and my friends for being ther and always shreddin together. Don and Melanie at Transitions and Ron Thomas, my boy, he's a straight badass and baller. And Hanan and Buc at veteran for lettin me have this profile. Hope you enjoy the photos. -Stewy
